Writer's block is basically what I'm about to talk about.
Writer's block is a condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work or having a creative slowdown.
Normally when it comes to creative work, I am good at writing. But, this particular blog is for me to write about my life in Japan.
Pretty basic and normal actually. I do not have anything very interesting to write about as of late. Why, I would say I am happy and content (both mean the same thing) where I am in Japan. And everybody wants to know about the culture and details of my life here? Okay... I suppose I could talk about the few odd moments I have had. Random accidents I would say. An elderly woman who asked me to teach her 5 year old grand children to speak English. A bill I thought was due to be paid, but turned out to be something they had to pay me for. I don't actually know what this one was about... The page was translated as an insurance bill of sorts. The many people who act slightly different from one customer to me because I am gaijin. The American entertainer who threw a fit when a nervous and uncertain crowd (mostly Japanese) took too long to decide whether they were going to stay and watch the show or move on. Overall, life continues the same way. You just learn a new sense of normal. I have even started to feel that chopsticks are normal in my hand. Every time I am given a fork, it feels awkward in my hand.
That is the basic gist of where I am at.
I am not one to write about my normal daily life. So...talking about it here seems rather silly. I'll keep trying though. Leave a Reply. |
